At the center of CHI Insurance are Laura Chastain and her daughter Chelsey—a mother-daughter team with deep roots in their community and an even deeper passion for helping others. For Laura and Chelsey, insurance is more than policies and paperwork; it’s about family, trust, and being there for people when they need it most.
Their story began years ago in the heart of their own home, where Laura, Chelsey, and their loved ones would gather around the kitchen table, working late nights and sharing dinners, stuffing packets by hand and building something truly special from the ground up. Those early days were filled with laughter, teamwork, and a lot of heart—a spirit that continues to guide them today.
Now, with over 15 years of experience and a brand-new, cozy office, Laura and Chelsey are excited to open a new chapter together as CHI Insurance. The name CHI is close to their hearts, representing the joining of generations and the importance of family in everything they do. To them, every client who walks through their door is treated like family, and they take pride in providing the same level of personal care and support they would want for their own loved ones.

Meet Laura! Laura Chastain is an educator and consumer advocate for all her clients. She has earned the designation of Certified Senior Advisor, with more than 21 years of experience in the insurance industry. Laura got her start in insurance in 2003, working with her husband Greg from their home office. Their passion for helping clients is the reason they started the Chastain Agency, and the reason Laura is still in this industry today. Greg has retired from Insurance, but Laura now has become an independent agent still working with the company they originally started. She enjoys helping people choose the best possible plans to help them feel secure and meet their financial and healthcare goals. She educates her clients on important insurance topics such as Medicare insurance options, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplements Plans (Medigap Plans), Social Security, long-term care, individual health plans and health care reform.
Laura and her husband Greg have two children and four beautiful granddaughters, her daughter Chelsey and son-in-law Jason have two daughters, Olivia and Amelia. Her son Jordan and daughter-in-law Kelsey also have two daughters, Bennett and Reese. Laura lives in Cleveland, GA, with their sweet 17-year-old dog, Boss.
Chelsey Hogan, Licensed Insurance Agent
Chelsey Hogan! Chelsey holds a degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia and has been a licensed insurance agent since 2008. She specializes in individual health insurance, Medicare insurance/senior products, and specialty lines.
Chelsey and her husband, Jason, have been happily married since 2011. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Olivia Marie and Amelia Elizabeth. In her free time, Chelsey enjoys traveling, reading, and making memories with her children. Their family also includes a lovable Goldendoodle named Bruce!
Rumor has it, Chelsey and Batman have never been seen in the same room.
